Ang Thong National Marine Park
Probably one of the most stunning attractions in Koh Samui, the Ang Thong National Marine Park is an archipelago of 42 islands, nestled in the Gulf of Thailand. The National Park features white-sand beaches, tropical forests and breathtaking views on Gulf of Thailand. Some of animals to be spotted there are herons, monkeys, iguanas and pythons.
Koh Mae (literally Mother Island) is the most visited island in the archipelago, thanks to its beautiful sandy beach and its lagoon “Emerald lake”. Make sure you take good shoes if you want to climb up to the view point to get panoramic view of the gulf of Thailand. For those who like snorkeling, the surrounding sea features amazing tropical fish and sea turtles.
The entry fee is around 300 THB for adults, and 150 THB for children. From your Samui Beach resort, you can easily book a boat to Ang Thong National Marine Park. Most visitors book a one day trip in order to kayak, swim, snorkel and visit view points. If you prefer to stay a night, some bungalows are available for rent.
