Big Buddha Temple
The Big Buddha temple is probably one of the first things that you will see while arriving at Koh Samui by air. Located on “Koh Faan”, a rocky platform connected to the main island by a causeway, this giant Buddha is one of the Samui’s most popular attractions. Buddhists come regularly to the temple to pray and offer food or flowers. Be sure to explore food stalls and Thai restaurants around the base of the tall statue.
Big Buddha Temple is open everyday. Be sure to cover your shoulders and your legs when visiting the Temple.
To get there from Mercure Koh Samui Beach Resort, it is a 40 min drive.
